5150 Concepts was started in 2006. The parts came about when looking for ways to make my bike (2005 ZX6-R) sexier and faster for less than the market would allow. The mirror block off plates came about after looking around at the plates that were available and not being satisfied to own any of them. At the time my bike was Magma Red and I thought it would be sick to make a set of perfect color matching plates for it and that's how that got started. After my first track day, pegs were scraping and my ankles were so strained that I decided it was time to raise the rear sets. After looking around at the $300 to $400 options I decided it would be completely possible to raise them with brackets. After a lot of R & D I came out with the 1/4' brackets that we have today. I run them on my bike, which is now a full race bike and I race with WSMC as # 613. I can't get enough of the track time and love the clearance that comes with the raisers. I'll always be hitting the tracks and like to meet my customers out there on the track. It's a great feeling when people come up to me with my parts on their bike and thank me for how much they enjoy them.
